Sheffield Refugee Asylum Seeker Action Group (RASAG ) started in 2010 at a community centre English as a Second Language class as a
collaboration between the teacher and refugees and asylum seekers in the group who were struggling to engage with mainstream services
and opportunities. Out/Side/Film has been supporting Sheffield RASAG (Refugees Asylum Seeker Action Group) Sheffield since November
2011 on a volunteer basis, giving IT support, helping to cook, helping with language and offering access to video and stills cameras
to a group made up primarily of destitute asylum seekers.
